Odeon West Street (1937-1973) West Street/Little Russell Street, Brighton
1937 December 18 Designed by Andrew Mather for Odeon Properties Ltd. Built on the north side of Little Russell Street, next to St Paul's ChurchBrighton Ice Rink (SS Brighton, opened 1934) was on the south side. Opened by Sir Alfred Cooper Rawson MP, with music by the Band of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards; 1,350 seats, British Thomson-Houston sound system. Café.
