1937 December 18 Designed by Andrew Mather for Odeon Properties Ltd. Built on the north side of Little Russell Street, next to St Paul's Church—Brighton Ice Rink (SS Brighton, opened 1934) was on the south side. Opened by Sir Alfred Cooper Rawson MP, with music by the Band of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards; 1,350 seats, British Thomson-Houston sound system. Café. The opening film was Victoria the Great, starring Anna Neagle.

1961 Prices 3s-6s
1968 £100,000 spent on refurbishment.
1973 December Closed when Odeon Kingswest opened.
The building stood unused until demolished in 1990. It is now part of the site of the Oak Hotel (the other part being SS Brighton, which closed in October 1965).
