Slinky

I used to have a slinky
a plinky planky slinky
a springy sprangy slinky.
It went downstairs like this:
       sloosh
       sloosh
       sloosh
       sloosh
until my slinky tangled.
I wrestled and I wrangled
to get the slinky thing untangled
but once a spring is tangled
it's hard to get the thing untangled
but if you straighten out your slinky
it's never quite as springy
and goes downstairs like this:
       sloosh
       sloosh
       sloo
So somewhere in a cupboard
there's a slinky that's all buggered
and I wonder why I bothered
to untangle the springy slinky.
After all it was only a spring
and it didn't do much
when it did anything at all.
