NON-STATUTORY ARRANGEMENTS
The British Broadcasting Corporation
operates under its Deed of Licence and Agreement between the Secretary of State for
National Heritage* (until 1969 it was the Postmaster General, then until 1992 the Home
Secretary) and the BBC and exists by virtue of its Royal Charter of 20 December 1926, both
subsequently extended in 1937, 1946, 1952 and on these more recent dates:
