Parallel mirrors: A reflection

by Jackie Hinden

Who are these mirrored clones
diminishing in distance and in time
before me and behind, the future and the past?
They turn their heads and nod in unison,
a pack of one-eyed Jacks spread out
across the years.
Are these splintered offcuts bits of me?
So many copies from the master print
the original grows dim -

going, going ...

The original grows dim -
so many copies from the master print.
Are these splintered offcuts bits of me?
Across the years
a pack of one-eyed Jacks spread out.
They turn their heads and nod in unison
before me and behind, the future and the past
diminishing in distance and in time.
Who are these mirrored clones?
